OUR SCHOOL

West Point School is an English Medium Co-Educational School giving and education of the public school type but aiming at man-making. Animals are products of nature but man-making starts with nature. So this school starts from Nursery stage and lays meticulous stress on child-education following therein the two fundamental principles of F.W.A. Froebel’s Kindergarten (Children’s garden) infant schooling system, viz, making (1) the outer inner and (2) the inner outer, to help the child’s mind grow naturally and spontaneously in tune with the ideal followed in Tagore’s Shantiniketan and keeping always in mind the warning of Swami Vivekananda: “Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs riot there undigested all your life”. From the very beginning we follow the inner meaning of education, i.e. , drawing out the innate powers of the pupils. Starting with Nursery, LKG, UKG this school upgraded itself to full-fledge Higher Secondary standard Senior (10+2) (English Medium) with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliation to pave the gateway to still higher and better education.

Our Sahodaya

West Point School, Bankura, proudly holds membership in the Sahodaya School Complex, Bankura Chapter. Sahodaya, which means "Rising Together," is a collaborative initiative by CBSE to foster cooperation among schools in the region. Through this platform, our school actively participates in sharing best practices, engaging in joint academic and co-curricular events, and enhancing the overall educational standards.
